We are House of Test
Independent test engineers from Switzerland. Since 2015 we have helped teams find what breaks before their customers do, and we say what we find, in plain language.
Four things we won't compromise on
Testing is a thinking job. These are the habits we hire for, train for, and bring to every engagement.
Exploration
We go and look. Scripts and checklists have their place, but the problems that matter are found by people who poke at the product with a plan and an open mind.
Curiosity
"Why?" is our favourite question. We want to understand your product, your users and your constraints before we tell you anything.
Integrity
We report what we see, even when it's inconvenient. No softened findings, no hidden agenda, no tools to sell.
Knowledge
We read, write, teach and argue about testing, and we pass it on: to our clients, to our team and to the community.
Context first, then the plan
There is no House of Test method you have to adopt. Every team, product and release has its own risks, so we start by listening and asking questions. Then we build the approach around what we learn, whether that is an audit, an engineer embedded in your team, or advice for your leadership.
You will always know what we are doing and why. We explain our methods, show our reasoning, and make sure you understand your options before you decide. Decisions made with full information tend to be better ones.
Independent, on purpose
We have no partnerships with tool vendors and we accept no kickbacks, referral fees or resale margins. When we recommend a tool, a practice or a hire, it is because it fits your context, not because someone pays us for it.
That independence is also why clients trust our audits. The findings are ours alone, and so is the responsibility for them.
Good people, left to do good work
House of Test is a team of engineers with different backgrounds and one shared standard. We hire for curiosity and craft, give people the time and the budget to keep learning, and trust them to run their own work. No management by objectives, no yearly appraisals.
Fulfilled engineers do better work. That is not a slogan, it is the business model.
